It's My Life

Today marked the One year anniversary when I packed one suitcase, one luggage bag, one bag of Vincci shoes ( only two pairs only, STOP the"Oh Gosh" or "Oh Wow" thingy ) and a backpack and bought one way ticket from Aeroline One Utama stating Bandar Utama to Singapore.

Today also marked the first time I met my landlord and landlady, pay one month deposit, one month rental and half month agent fees for my new home a.k.a. room. Btw, did I mention that I got lost too in the area that I was staying when I first arrived? NO?? Then, will update it later. Need to write some reminder down.

This is how many new things had happened within one day but was one year ago.
I wanted to write this down in this blog one year ago but being humans, especially me, it went from tomorrow to tomorrow to next week to next month to finally next year. What a better way to start write this but not on the anniversary itself.

This write up has more to come as I want to throw out all those things that I have been wanting to say but have not done so. At the same time showing you those pictures that I've taken with the gift from my ex-colleagues/friends/sisters in Malaysia - My ever first DIGITAL CAMERA.

Here goes................

This is a picture taken of myself at estimated time 10.30 am, inside the bus, going through LDP, almost reaching CP Tower. Look how "Chan" I was. Compare to now, any difference?

This is taken because I felt sad as I was passing by my ex-office. I should been inside at CP Tower, 14th floor working but then I was outside, venturing to a new place, new environment and new challenge. Didn't know whether the decision that I've made was correct or wrong. What do you think?

Walking Away

One day you called home and suddenly a member of your family tell you that He/She is going blind. What do you do or how do you react to that statement?

Then, months come and again one day you received a call. This time, He/She tells you that the He/She has been to the doctor and the doctor says He/She still has 6 months to live due to kidney problems. What do you do this time? How do you react?

I am sadden when I heard this but I cannot react because I don't know how or what. Dumbfound.

If I can donate my kidney and my eyes, I would but can I do that?

I am walking away now from the reality cause I am scared and afraid.

This reminds me when I was little, at the time when my Poh Poh passed away, I told myself, no one shall goes before me for I do not think I can take the grief that my family members are gone and I am still alive. If anyone were to go, I should be the one first.

What should I do now?

Starting Today

Reading the news today was kinda of heart ache but at the same, a pleasure was also felt. This was the different feeling that I have from the election results in year 2004. At that time, I was pretty glad that BN won but today, I am not sad that they lost Penang, my hometown but also to lose 3 other states. That's a pretty hard blow to them.

Honestly, I think they over confidence with themselves this time especially those contesting in my hometown. On top of that, I find it very annoying to see the billboards, the TV ads and on the bus station advertisement board. It really makes me wonder where the hell does all these money comes from? Why is it only when election times, all these efforts are being put up when they could have use those same money to help those less unfortunate. I believe action speaks better for themselves. So, irregardless, if you have billboards or not, as long as the results is being shown, you do not have to spend all these extra moneys.

Until the next election, there will be 3 things of certain.

1. New leaders to proof themselves.

2. Ousted candidates to proof themselves even more.

3. Never give up of what you believe in.

I do not believe in politics but I believe we are one as Malaysians.

What a Feeling

2008 should brings lots of good memories for me. For starter, one of my childhood friends of 21 years is giving birth this year. She is due in May'2008. An ex-colleague of mine has already welcome a baby boy on the 1st day of CNY. Following on that, it is also the 10th year anniversary of my friendship with two group of friends. One group comprise of #Frends channel kaki, the good old days from IRC and the other group comprise of ex-colleagues from Dave's Deli, the good old workings while studying.

We have been together for the unbelievable 10 years. I can truthfully says that the #Frends kaki are now officially all married ( in our little circle of friends, you know who you are ) EXCEPT for me. The other group of them are Single and Available and both of the girls are now aiming for better life outside of Malaysia. Within these two group of friends, we have been through ups and downs, fights and truce, happiness and sadness and so much more.

It is a great pleasure and honour of mine to be their friend, sister, ah mui, heng tai, you named it, I'm it.


Recently, me and my 2 girl friends went for a trip to commemorate on this special anniversary and here is our picture from the trip. Will update the other group of friends picture once I have it. Btw, Happy Birthday Jane!! Hope you had a good time in our mini birthday celebration. =)

Shut Up

Today after working in Singapore for more than 11 months and 19 days, I really loses my cool. How can my CHR from Corporate High Risk becomes Corporate Highly Ridiculous? I've never come across such kind of services being rendered by a Manager and especially Learning and Development.

Not only it is ridiculous that the policy is at such but to think bout it as in they never actually fights for my or rather our benefits. Instead, they comes up with REALLY REALLY UNBENEFICIAL benefits for us.

Guess what I did? I reply the manager's email with cc to my boss and her intern condeming her professionalism and how she should looks outside the box instead of within the box. In a rage of anger, I've started to look outside Singapore for work.

Conclusion : All CHR sucks to the MAX from what I think of them!!!
